Sustainable Palm Oil Production
According to the WWF video below, which you need to watch, 50% of packaged products in supermarkets contain palm oil and much of it doesn't come from a great place.
We all want to help these guys below don't we? The only way to continue to consume palm oil like we do is to insist that your palm oil comes from sustainable plantations. Just like ours does. These guys don't lose their habitats this way, but letting huge rainforests continue to be destroyed means their life will just get tougher.
The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) was established in 2004 to promote the production and use of sustainable palm oil for people, the planet and prosperity.
Forty per cent of the world’s palm oil producers are members of the RSPO, as well as many product manufacturers, retailers, environmental and social non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
A sustainable standard like the RSPO is based on a set of principles and criteria which define good social and environmental practices within an industry/product.
All the palm oil used in our soaps is harvested with these standards at the forefront of production. Buying from us means you're doing your bit too.
Thanks!
